SCHD and QQQ in my roll over Roth with a small holding of Costco (That hasn’t paid off yet)

— @the_real_rico_mercado245

SCHD and JEPI are 2 of the most popular ETFs on the market, however, they both serve very different purposes.

I get a lot of questions about both of these ETFs, but they should not be comparable. SCHD is a compounding machine whereas JEPI is a income NOW type of investment. Can they both work inside a portfolio? At times, YES.

Neither... SPDG is the best dividend etf out there, its my biggest position

— @tiwa485

In today's video I am going to walk through both of these, show you how a $100,000 investment would play out over the next 20 years and tell you how I would allocate money between these 2 popular ETFs.

In the comment section down below be sure to tell me which ETF you prefer.

Nice to watch your video. Jedi is a good option for income desire investor. But. When there is a large correction and large drop, what is your idea? Will you still hold it? Trim or sell all.

3rd video I watched today with talk talk talk. Show some numbers. Show what investing in both with 100k does over 10years. Yeah that's what I thought. SCHD is paying some youtube mouth investors to sell their product.

As a Canadian, I hold JEPI in my RRSP that generates USD income that I use to buy more SPMO. Only about 7% portfolio. In TFSA I hold JEPQ.

So many better options than these 2. IAUI, IWMI, IYRI, KGLD, MLPD, MLPI, QQQI, SPYI, TDAQ, TSPY, and XLEI look interesting IMO especially for an early retiree seeking high income and preferential tax treatment. (Growth bucket separate from these) This is for income now for an early retiree to pay their bills.

I am retired & own both

Who told you SCHD is an income ETF ???

@shahbazahmed6968
@

If you're gonna hold JEPI, do it inside a Roth IRA... The ELN that they use in JEPI create dividends taxed as ordinary income, not the long term capital gains rates like SCHD (if you held the fund for 60+1 days before the ex dividend date).

JP Morgan has addressed this problem with ROCY and ROCQ if you want to hold these funds within a taxable account. The only thing is that you must track the ROC as it reduces your cost basis and when that happens you get taxed but at the LTCG rates, not ordinary income marginal bracket rates

SCHD

@DannyBrooks1
@

How about JEPQ?

@matchaverse
@

Great video! VOO, SCHD, QQQM, VXUS

@mccorklehometeam
@

why not invest in both? also add FDVV.

@bpang88
@

Sorry I still may sleep mostly she will go with SHAD because I looked into that stock. It is more like ONSVOL where it’s high taxable. It’s not a qualified dividend yield because it is a monthly payout one so you will be taxed on it with high rate like monthly income so if you want more money from that stock, you’ll have to put it in a rough IRA and wait until like you’re 59 1/2 to get it out which most people don’t want

@JUSTINPARKER-z5f
@

I buy QQQI/SPYI and reinvest the distributions into SCHD and FTEC. It's great to have monthly income that you can use in many different ways ie. retire, buy real estate, reinvest.

@surfguy777
@

Based on this video I'd put 66,000.00 in SCHD and 34,000.00 in JEPI

@mikerisk446

This video remind me how my life completely turned around, I hit $1M today, two years ago, I was sleeping in a basement apartment with zero savings and mounting debt. I stopped chasing 'get rich quick' schemes and started focusing on risk management and one solid edge. Today, I just cleared my 2026 financial goal. It's not about where you start, it's about the process

@ZinniaAshwyn
@

im putting 5 k a month into JEPQ ..... i think its the best ....

@davidbutt2345
@

70% JEPI/JEPQ 30% SCHG and then invest the Monthly dividends back to buy more SCHG!. Super intellectual people wont invest in two assets both target is dividends.. but one income and one growth....

@sjawahar2001

JEPI 💯 in my Roth, reinvest the drip

I’m 41 and finally retired, making $28k every two weeks. But truly, having a supportive family through it all is the real blessing. Thanks for the extra motivation today!

@Samuel-s7w4t

I've been contributing about 25% of my income for the last 6 years straight into a long-term strategy. Seeing the math behind SCHD's 20-year compounding just completely validates why I keep my head down and stay consistent. The growth over time is unmatched

@CindyR-h3q
@

gpiq better

@shaDollar
@

I would do 75 SCHD and 25 JEPI with that said currently my portfolio has about twice the value in SCHD versus JEPI in a 30 to 40 share dividend portfolio that will return more in dividends than what I recieve in take home pay with my wife retired in 2024 @55 and not collecting anything from any of her accounts.

@InlineSkater72
@

I have both. SCHD on my ROTH IRA and JEPI on my brokerage. The plan is to pass the JEPI to my daughter which is 4 now.

@bryansoler8903

I retired on Jan 1 at 66. We have around 60 securities and SCHD, Msft and Jepi are our three largest holdings. Our best dividend producers are ET XOM Wes Mplx Paa.
Investing in both dividend and growth have made it possible to retire comfortably
I’m thankful I worked an extra year for a great company that treated me like a king. I hope everyone is fortunate enough to have a job they love

Thanks for this great video ❤ can you compare VIG DGRO VYM SCHD ?

@jonathankml
@

Taxes on JEPI in a taxable account is another disadvantage.

@Ccr-r4e
@

depends if you want income now jepi... if you still in stack mode schd reinvest dividends and chill... schd is the safest long term play... jepi is the get money now play... in the long run jepi share count will go down... that simple..

Interesting market analysis. Gap-down days often create both opportunity and uncertainty, making risk management more important than ever. While many traders look for bounce setups after sharp declines, it's essential to wait for confirmation and avoid rushing into positions based solely on price action. The best opportunities usually come when technical signals, market sentiment, and broader fundamentals align.

Being retired what works for me is 70% SCHD & 30% SGOV Just made the transition about 3 months ago. Got away from the risky growth funds at this stage of life.

@splinegrind
@

Hello, thank you for the great video I'm 55 so for quality companies long term I am going to choose SCHD. Get paid as the quarterly earnings growth accelerates.

@FrankGCann
@

schd for growth over time and jeepy straight for that income now, kinda smart how they split the goals like that. been doing similar splits on my era wallet lately

@Rjwh-j4l
@

I like JEPI. I just wait to buy it when it is cheap.

@Chrissers2010

Looking back on all the historical quarterly dividends, this is the first time in SCHD's history that the Q2 dividend is less than the Q1 dividend. With reconstitution in March & the rebalancing that often removes lower yield stocks at that time, it would make sense that the Q2 dividend is usually more. This year is not the case. In addition to the decrease compared to Q2 from a year ago, why do you think that this is the case for the lower dividend?

@yankeept
@

Doesn’t Schd rebalance annually? Every March?

@Gumby.13
@

I chose SCHD and QQQI

@sirfred4532

I have JEPQ and SCHD. I use some JEPQ to fund my self directed IRA monthly, and still contribute to my simple IRA at work. Funding my self directed IRA with JEPQ frees up $$$ to build my brokerage account as well.
