I found another gem of a channel
Looking at something like an Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale makes me think that a car really can be art. But why do some cars just look so much better than others, and what makes a car look good to begin with? Let's dive in.
Huge shoutouts to the creatives who inspired this video:

No other brand can make pure art like Alfa can (except Ferrari)

I'm not sure if you'll read this comment but what do you think about the R35 gtr, dodge vhallenger widebody or a evo 8. This cars are not the most flowy looking but they've still regarded as great looking cars.

BMW Z8 is almost 30 Years old and looks from the future

Ford GT40 is based off of the British Lola Mk6 GT, which is achingly beautiful... GT40 is a bit of a grunt in comparison, Ford could make a great muscle car, but they needed Lola for Le Mans finesse

Был когда-то у меня свой проект, ни на одну из этих машин непохож ! Жизнь говорит иди работать а не фантазировать и конструировать ! 😅 15-ть лет назад забросил это дело а проект порезал и сдал на металлолом ! 😅

And Lamborghini miura also under this category.
@sasindujayawardana3054Excellent.
All three apply to wristwatches, too.
This car is not beautiful.
@yup001technically car design is not an art. art would be more like drawing pictures and shit
@HolographicSweaterThe Ferrari 250 GT California!!!!!!!
@Dripplug23yup. nice video.
@learnthis4486Woah you did great job with the thumbnail pal❤
@mihiiii_cccGood automotive design is transcendent. Thank you for this wonderful video.
@shealaking8557This reminds me in morgan's car that designed by pinifarina. First hearing about it didnt make me believe it will be good. However they put a pointy flow to the back of the car, making it curved natural with its traditional design.
@arfafajar37682:18 the long hood and sloping roofline is not the formula for a beautiful car. look at the chrysler new yorker or other land yachts from the 60s and 70s. the 80s mercedes and rolls royces were boxy and lacked that sloping roof line. porsche 911 turbo is regarded as one of the most beautiful designs and that had a short hood because of its rear engine layout. similarly the xj220, mclaren 12c, and ferrari 360 have hoods that are not much longer than their bumpers if at all. a lot of european mid engines have short hoods, both the bugatti veyron and koenigsegg agera have hoods that are almost the same length as its bumper.
@novathepug6692Alain's THE ALFA film is great
@antwerpsevenI understand a long hood looking good on a sports car, but on SUVs and trucks it is so impractical. Current American trucks have such tall, long hoods people cannot see what is in front of them. For larger vehicles, if the rest is a box, just make a flat or angled front for excellent visibility. A city bus and a Chevy pickup don't need a long hood. Waste of space really.
@WhatIfBrigadeimo something that rivals the 33 Stradale is the Alfa 8C Competizione, it's absolutely drop dead gorgeous. it has a muscular stance yet elegant, put any color on that car and it'll still look good
@yoboid3067Lamborghini mentioned. 🥰
@near_hmhOriginal 33. Best looking car ever. And please leave the 250 GTO out of it, its not that good looking.
Miura is pretty nice too.
Fisker embraces the design elements you highlighted.
@jtreutMore proof that the greatest era of sports car design was the 60's and maybe more specifically the mid to late 60's. I imagine part of it is this was just before having to figure out real bumpers, but that can't be everything. 911, alfa spyder, DB5 and DBS, mustang, camero, corvette, this alfa 33, 250GTO, Miura, E-type.
@Lance54689"the reason why we find new stock cars boring then how they were between 1950-1980 isn't because they look the same and because we're blinded by nostalgia,they simply evolved into blobs"-my dad
@ildikobesleaga7877Something about the script feels weird idk why Also in my opinion the old Ford GT isnt an example Id use for amazing design
@davidh_1_111dhns1Pause! The modern Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale is ugly and an affront to one of the best cars ever made.
@shin_goosede tomaso 72 is soo fine too
@cwf_media9200Love that you put Jeremy Clarkson at the emotion chapter
@Iconproductions-carmocsSince your video made me constantly go like "yes. yes. yes." I subscribed immediately. Keep up the great work!
@JuanManuelTastzianthe modern 33 stradale is not good, i like the original more
@MinicusEnnethCan you make a video with affordable cars that have a good design?
@albertogarza60770:23 i too have an autisic interior
@justinluisfilteredModern automotive design is now dominated by the sharply creased angry toaster look. The current C8 Corvette is a prime example. Nice to see a return to more flowing lines as in the Ferrari 296. The early to mid 60s were a high water mark for car design, which produced cars like the Jaguar E-type, Ford GT40, Ferrari 250 GTO, and the Shelby Cobra.
@canoedoc2390Very very well made video, and brilliantly articulated, I really enjoyed watching it :)
@UthmanAl-WandawiYou have nailed this ! Modern car design in general is about shock rather than timeless purposeful emotional work. The unseen is that the finished result is more than the sum of the parts.
@TrevorReitsmaLast November, Toyota had a presentation of their Century brand in a Japan show, and they unveiled their Century Coupe concept, a Rolls Royce competitor by most standards. Looking at it, what it immediately reminded me, in opposition, was the new Jaguar concept. It had such similar basic shapes, general ideas, "parts", but it was so SO much better. The terminatios and transitions inbetween the cabin and front end, the rear straight cut, the pillars, the air intakes that basically cut the doors, it all fell into place with such grace that it was stunning. I just kept thinking it was the Jaguar concept, but good. It's such a discipline. I'd like to see this design point applied to cars like the Lancia Stratos or the Renault Twingo
@ramiror2132Gotta notice how loyal he is to his color palette
@Captain_saveaho97this gave me faith that not all new cars will look like fridges
@vladimir5095A wise man (me) once said: There is place where design and engineering meet and, that's where you find perfection.
@kiwi8987876Having stood next to and seen drive by multiple F40s, they are probably the most beautiful car I have ever laid my eyes on in person. At least top 3.
@howitzer2839Aventador LP700-4. Pre facelift Murci. Base Diablo. 3 absolutely gorgeous card in a row. Lambo didn’t miss
@howitzer28398:28 that’s true Ie like 911
@infamouseli92Great video! Would love to see something on bicycle design. Specifically, road racing bicycles.
@tommyfreckmann6857U R RIGHT , THE FIRST TIME I SEE SOMEONE GIVE THE REASON...THANK YOU❤
@LUYZVOMLYZI love curvy Sportscars and that Beast has great curves.
@tyizzle80The curves of a woman and the face of a fish is all it takes for a car to look good.
@edlow-q2hThanks for this video! Porsche design is timeless because it resists trends and commits to identity. There’s honesty in the design. You can read the engineering in the surface—no fake aggression, no decorative noise. A 911 from decades ago still looks contemporary because it wasn’t chasing fashion when it was born. Timeless design isn’t about being new. It’s about being right. Excellent video and analytics!
@deABSTRACTstudioIt's disappointing you did not mention the Tesla Model 3. It is over a decade old but still strikingly Beautiful. Thank you for an interesting video. Best wishes
@jayc31101:12 I’m nitpicking, but the Ford GT came out in 2005. The car that came out in 1964 was the Ford GT40. Similar in concept and appearance but different cars.
