As a Pakistani, I truly appreciate you sharing this recipe and encouraging others to explore new cuisines. I grew up loving my mom’s kabobs, though I haven’t made them myself—but your openness has really inspired me to give it a try

17:33 I like to surve it with my all purpous indian subcontinent yogurt sause "raita",
greek yougurt 100 g; greek one is fattier and richer
one lemon; thins it out and brings lemony flavour
sprinkle of cumin; garam masala if you've got it
kewra water 5 drops; strong stuff so be gentle and keep it subtle
dried mint leaves 1 TBSP; cooling effect and herbatiousness
pinch of salt
strong pinch of citric acid; non negotiable, makes it mouth watering and mimiques that indian yogurt or dahi's fermented sour flavour
leave in the fridge overnight to wake up the dried mint, works very well with biryani. feel free to add minced onions, replace the dried mint with fresh choppeded mint, maybe even cilantro and cucumber but I like it's quick simplicity.

As someone from the UK the coriander / cilantro thing was something that left me puzzled for a while as over here it's all coriander (corainder leaves, coriander seed, ground coriander). Kept on being annoyed by all the recipes I saw that listed it but I could never find it in shops (especially if they used both ground coriander and cilantro in the same recipe). When I finally got round to googling it to find out exactly what it was it was a proper facepalm moment

@zorabright7646I am worried about his bread. I couldn't shout at him to let him know that his peta bread was burning. 😂
@kashifali-wu5ohHopefully, you have time to make Lomo saltado. It is getting kinda expensive to buy.
@argeliamoran6132My question is, can we use those as burger patties??
Please tell me we can
9:17 its bone marrow not tallow
@イブいもめThat’s mouth watering. Can’t wait to try.
@Ash-or5xfHere I was about to go to sleep. Opened YouTube to play some deep sleep music and behold there is a video just below with a white man making Chapli Kebab with so much passion. I mean, I had to watch it. Love how random life is.

@sanji546I think it would be more appropriate to say what sect of Pakistan because this came from Afghanistan not Pakistan. Pakistan has Pashtuns also which is why they have been influenced with our dishes. Just FYI
@MoBillShaggyThank you for representing this Indian dish please use vegetable next time instead of meat as it is the authentic Indian way. Pakistanis started to make this with meat when they stole the recipe from us.
@Ali-cw6cdCharli Chaplin 😂😂
@Baldurgate123mint chutnee and yogurt are the sides which are also a main with this kabab
@DemiDevil99966terlalu GOSONG akhirnya pahit, minyak terlalu berlebihan rasa mungkin larut ke dalam minyak semua
@Hady_septirah313That was not beef tallow. Yes it is cooked in beef tallow the white chicks are bone marrow chunks
@soulsborne-ladTry this recipe before Indiana start claiming it to be an indian dish, just like biryani, naan , samosa, etc.😂
@alexanderthemeekI am from the region which is famous for chapli kabobs, no cilantro or garlic. Add red chili flakes is part of the recipe.
@shahidanisar447I like to have them with Raaita or a yoghurt sauce over white rice. 😋 Yummmmm
@I_have_TelepathyPakistani food is the best non-veg food in the world.
@EliteCycleWalkWindsorCanadaThis looks awesome. Better than I make it at home and I am from Pakistan 🤣
@sarat8577absolutely fabulous to see a white guy prep n make chapli kabob yum yum!!! now u know why pakistani ppl’s kitchen are drenched in oil! the mess it makes esp if u hv tomatoes in it, it splashes more oul around n the smoke n smell lol. that is why most people have a 2nd kitchen in their garage for frying fish n kabobs like this. hats off to you for trying n your kitchen is beautiful!!! Enjoy the kabobs❤❤❤
@zarghonakhan4450raita that is yogurt mint chutney is used as dip
@ladyevaam3868You and Andy from Australia are my favourite non South Asians who make South Asian food on YouTube. You both do superbly well keeping things authentic and I can tell you both really love cooking and the South Asian cuisine when you indulge in it! Respect.

@FoodsReviewJunkieWhen I start cooking n eating first i read Bissmillah completey really it becomes so tasty n flavorful !
@tanveersviews3667Can you use pork?
@oneworld2181I had a Chapli kebab in Oman made by an afghan chef. He absolutely amazed me. He had actually added the marrow of the bone in the kebab and the taste was just amazing.
@fazalm4573a couple tips from an afghan pashtun (pashtun's created the dish):
1. chop the onions finer, it needs to melt in the kabobs
2. add chopped tomatoes (not the watery parts)
3. don't eat it with pita, eat it with naan and chakni (basically a yogurt chutni with spicy chillis [thai chillis work well], cilantro, garlic, salt, mint and yogurt, and pepper)
4. flower really isn't necessary
5. finely chopped thai chillis or similar are optional, but add a really good flavor to the kabobs
BTW what kind of cook top U using since I like to buy one. Thx
