Germany’s beer is famous all around the world. There are between 6000 and 8000 different varieties of German beer, yet they’re all made from the same four ingredients – water, malt, hops, and yeast.

That’s no coincidence, it’s the law! The Reinheitsgebot – Germany’s beer purity regulations – came into effect in 1516 in Bavaria. The southern-German state is home to around half of all the country’s breweries. Of those, around half again are located in Franconia.
The Germans sure love their beer – it’s likely the most popular beverage in the land. The average German drinks some 100 liters of it every year. Intake definitely increases when the Oktoberfest – Germany’s largest festival – is held in Munich. Only two nations drink more beer than Germany; Austria and Czechia.
To bad you can't buy real German beer in the US. You can only find a light , a very light version of German beer here. No real German beer with swing top bottles or flavorful real German beer like in Germany. Only export watered down flavor. Very high quality light beer though. Much like a Miller light but far cleaner tasting and without all those high fructose and preservatives in American beer.

8:26 I love the fact she is using a 1 gallon pale to dump hops into the boil and its maybe a quarter full. American brewers will us a 5 gallon pale and dump two or three bucket fulls in and we are talking the same size brew house. German beers are much less bitter than alot of American craft varieties but the bitterness that is there is far better. German hops are called noble hops for a reason!

The guy who says Germany has the most beers is smoking crack. 8000 beers is nothing. California alone has almost 1500 breweries. If each of those breweries has only six beers, California is already on top. Then there's the rest of the country. Also, nothing here explains why German beer is So SPECIAL. It's made exactly the same way as 99% of all the other beer in the world.

@freight4u840Although I haven't watched this video before but, they are talking about German Beer, Why it's so Special, but when I was stationed in Germany, I did drink German Beer, and it's very different than American Beer, but here in NYC, you can't find some Specific types of beer, unless you go to a specific place,in the Bronx, that's Not going to happen but if you go to Elmhurst Queens on Grand Ave, they have All types of German Beers, and I stopped drinking Budweiser beer, but next month is Octoberfest, and I plan on going to a German restaurant, and I don't know Why German Beer is much better than Any other beers are better.

@Larry-r4t5nI love German beer, but I also used to live in Zambia, so I know how that German corporations bought up the sparse arable land there and converted it to growing hops instead of it's traditional use of growing food for local people who were afterwards left near or at malnutrition and starvation.
@OtherConvosSBOne of my favorite beer from Chippawa Falls, WS, the Leinenkugal Brewery has gone out of business after several generations. They are gone forever, and absorbed into another bigger brewery. Craft beer breweries are having a hard time of it since the pandemic.

@paritoshdabral2946I happen to have a pilsner in my fermenter right now! Notice when she was talking about storing the beer, you heard the word 'lager'. That simply means to store in German, when it conditions and the favours round out. The category of beer has taken that term as its name. Lager encompasses a myriad os styles: Pilsner, Helles, Bock, Marzen etc As a British home brewer, I love our styles as well. But I do love a very good quality lager. Great video.

@natkojurdana9673I like many different types and brands of beer. From lagers, pilsners, wheat, amber ale , kolsch, dark ale, porters and stout for the most part. Lagers are probably my favorite. I think Bavaria brews the best wheat beers.
