the truth is that roblox is a garbage company. they do not really care unless the get in problem. no real moderation. the community is doing far more moderating than roblox themself. when roblox pokemon game was still on roblox, i heard my friends spending 10k robux on pokemon roulette (they had part-time jobs so it was their own money but still it was that addictive). we have to stop people ourself. there is this company who buys roblox games that is populair from the developers. this company obv wanted to make as much money as possible so they added a spin to win mechanic which cost roblox (i am talking about the game driving empire). the community hated it because as soon as that update came out we see kid roblox youtubers spending an crazy amount of money on those spin to win things. they are taking advantages of kids.

Only worth Roblox game is bee swarm simulator because its a game and roblox is basically an engine, it could be a separate game, its not p2w and original, money oriented but it doesnt damage the Gameplay, The dev Onett is so smart

In my opinion, it is one of the worst online games for kids out there why?

Adult content: roblox is moving more towards adult content, rather than kid friendly content. Even if you set your profile so your under the age of eighteen, you won't automatically get out of playing inappropriate games.
Online Predators: roblox is known for having online Predators who WILL ask for your information such as Address, age, full name, and other stuff. Predators have also been known to do inappropriate things, mostly targeted at CHILDREN. Adopt Me has been known for this.
Online dating/ E-Dating: people will go on roblox, a lot of the time, roleplaying games like, Brookhaven, where they will pretend to date one another. And no. I'm not talking about, “love you babe!” “I love you too! Marry me!” “Ok!” I'm talking about full on SEX where ANY CHILD CAN walk in on and see. Not just preforming inappropriate acts like this, but also sometimes saying things to eachother in the chat.
People are rude: on roblox, you never know what someone will say to you, and that could be something mean, or bullying to put it bluntly.
Roblox does not censor very well: on roblox, people have been known to cuss. It's what happens. Even if they can't directly say the bad word, they will find a work around, changing a few letters to make it work.
The parental restrictions don't work well: going along with #5 and #1, even if you set restrictions, they won't always work. You'll still be able to see children having sex, if someone writes a bad word on a sign in a game, you'll still be able to see that (if it isn't censored) if someone's wearing an inappropriate outfit, yes. You will see that too.
Overall: judging on these 6 bullet points, how safe is Roblox? 10=safe 1=not safe. (I am basing this mostly on what i have seen) Adult content: 4 while there aren't too many Adult games that kids can access (yet) there still are quite a bit. Onlime Predators: 3: i have never seen a Predator on roblox, but i have heard of it happening, so were giving this a 3 Online Dating: 5: I give this a five, because while I have personally seen people dating, I have only heard of inappropriate stuff happening. Rude People: 2: I give this a two, because I have on many occasions seen bullying, and just people being rude in general. Censoring: 1: out of everything on this list, I have seen language the most. Every game I've played I've probably seen cussing at least once on each game. Even with just a few letters changed, I could still tell the bad word they were saying. Parental restrictions: 7: I give this a 7 because I don't have any children, and I am an adult, so I've never had to deal with the children controls. The reason I am not giving this a lower rating is because of what I said above. I don't know what all the parental controls do.

Based on what I rated each category, I'm going to go for almost the middle and say 4 overall. It's just getting worse and worse.

I play Roblox, and I have for many years. I'm a kid, and seeing the platform slowly devolve into gambling games, cash-grabs, scams, etc is really sad. I've made some really good friends on there and it's disheartening to see the new, younger playerbase having to experience modern Roblox. It was so much better just a few years ago. I'm not a Roblox OG nor can I speak on the behalf of all players but can't we all just agree that the platform is taking a turn for the worse?

I know I'm a little late but my friend just found alot of porn accounts on this platform. Seriously, I get banned for 1 week straight after saying one single bad word but these games and accounts somehow manage to stay. This game used to be something but now it's nothing more than a pile of shit.

I feel like there is a massive Roblox story brewing like something that would have a massive effect on micro transactions on gaming as a whole. Everything you described in the video legally at the least is gross negligence. Aside from that I know Roblox uses a shell company to process transactions and all receipting function rather than running that whole process internally which makes a a major red flag considering that it just looks like they are just trying to skirt as much liability of of themselves as possible.

I've been playing Roblox for almost four years and never have I once met a sketchy person on there. True not everyone is nice and some people are a bit rude but it's a massive online game,what can you expect. The whole idea of bad people on Roblox is exaggerated.

I think that where perhaps Pokemon Cards and such escape the evil side of gambling is that you still receive a product you can enjoy with your friends, and keep in reality, just with different printing and they've seemed to have kept/gained their worth through popularity!

Months late, but I remember the casino in pokemon Gen 1 and 2. Those had legit slot machines, and I very quickly found it both boring and that the odds of winning sucked. So at least 10ish year old me avoided a video game getting me hooked on gambling.

Though in that case if you lost, you got nothing. Lootboxes give you something everytime, even if it's 99.9999% common drops. So if I had grown up with a lootbox system I could see it going differently.
