So everyone should be impressed by safety tests that every other (petrol) car sold in Europe already passed?

The rollover test is ridiculous, try it the way as specified at the NCAP Crash Test. 🤨

It does hurt seeing all those Teslas being crushed

@WolfElectronicS

I'll take my naturally aspirated RDX any day over this. I can park my RDX in my garage without fears of it spontaneously combusting and can fill my tank up in 5 minutes and leave the gas station not having to wait 30 minutes to charge my car.

@ratedRblazin420

Tesla is also most likely to end up in a crash!

haters gonna hate. Or should I say sheeple gonna hate.

This is why I bought a Tesla. If I bought a Cyber Truck it would be because it’s safer transportation

I always talked smack in teslas. Of course I was just ignorant. I bought one for my family also so to the Apr specials lol I never thought about getting a full ev. Besides its safety, it performs amazingly. The instant torque is incredible (2024 model y performance) although not yet perfect due to the range (270-300 miles on a charge) they will continue to improve. I’m definitely getting another one soon

Fast, economical, safe, autopilot, 120k drivetrain warranty and a $7500 rebate? Hmmmm

Model Y is a hatchback though

Just tossing model Ys into dirt. What a job.

Don't they BLOW UP??

@dickhertz4514

Half the crashes are caused by “dummy’s inside” 😂

@DailyDriver.

To all of those haters out there u may hate teslas but teslas are safe as hell

@mini_aiden7008
@

most of it is accidental because of how the care is designed not because its designed to be safe.

@strzaskanyalf2928
@

This is why I bought one for my family, #1 reason.

The rest is just a cherry on top.😊

Did they use actual battery in those crash tests ?

And people say Tesla build quality is bad???

@JuppeD

Bad drivers need tough cars. Thanks Tesla :p.

@vulcan4d
@

Why no crash tests are performed at 70mph? Is it assumed that people can’t survive such crashes and there is no point testing?

@akashch3194
@

Probably the result of having a crazy CEO who lets his engineers play around with the best of structural engineering not so constrained by bureaucracy and vertical leadership.

@joaohneuhaus

When it talks about crash safety, its less people comparing toyota with tesla.
So many people arguing toyota vios can travel more miles in one gas tank than tesla. Now, here it goes

There's a reason this has quickly become the world's #1 best selling vehicle!

@stickynorth

Hope the glass roof when it shatters won't hurt occupants' heads and bodies. I have a X and a 3. So, anyone who say I'm against Tesla is wrong. Yet, the glass roof presents a big potential danger especially old trees felt down in San Francisco directly onto some cars which happened to pass by underneath.

Tesla model Y is a good car, just some driver twist on it.

@goosegg8683

Its everything, fast, safe and technologically advanced. It has spoiled me, this is Iphone on wheels while everything else is a fliphone.

@chupscola9198

I don't care - I still won't buy a ludicrous EV.

@colinaldridge259

The best strength/weight is wild when you think of how heavy these cars are too. It's 2x as heavy and this means it's OVER 2x as strong

@bsears693
@

Sorry "highest marks in every test" that is a lie. It got good marks but not the highest, why do you think you have to lie about this? For example Tesla Y adult occupant 97% which is fantastic, but Mazda CX30 adult occupant 99% Why can't you be happy with the 97% it is way above so many cars, you really don't have to lie about it.

@SuperBartet

were the batteries installed and fully charge?

@mikebottrall9685

Wow.. A lot of misconceptions in the comment section.

@matthewwiemken7293
@

As i have always said u want an ev just get a tesla.

@pkerry12
@

Only at 30 mph. No you need to test it a little more higher like 50 or 80 since those are road and freeway speeds

@Mark3nd
@

It appears to do well in side and frontal impacts but how well does it hold up in a rear impact crash? Also, what was the State of Charge during the crash testing?

@user-rj6sd5lj9o
@

But your tesla has no brakes😂 which means even u get 5 star grades but without brakes it all dead😅

@Kevinzhuanggarage122

As long as it doesnt catch fire randomly and disable your electronic door handles you should be ok
