@singsangsung9022I kept on saying that Tchouameni was merely using United to get a new contract. It was so obvious. But still, well done to United for having a backup plan and moving so quickly to get Santos and at a really good fee.
@markloughran4827I'm impressed with how he keeps the ball ticking, makes decisions fast, snappy passes... players like Cunha & Bruno will enjoy his quick line breaking passes... Doesn't dwell on the ball, he can, but he wants to inject pace into the play. Quite similar to how Martinez fizzes those passes into the half spaces.

Santos looks like a perfect United player. Just right for Carrick and a counter-attacking style. I don't know why so many influencers are crying over this. Santos can play both #6 or #8. Like Casimiro he has both a nice long shot and neat header. He's 22. Chelsea bought him directly from South America in Jan 2023 for £12m after a season of Serie B (Brazilian 2nd tier) when he was just 18. He reminds me of Ander Herrera in his last season at OT before PSG stole him away - same in yer face combative style. I suspect fans will love him.
I'd much rather have him than Ederson. I reckon United will not get Ederson until Ugarte leaves.
Ederson and Santos would add much-needed depth and energy to our midfield. Hopefully, we won't get overrun every time we're hit on the counter.
