Why You Should NOT Move to Las Vegas!

I moving to las Vegas next month

As a Managing Director for a boutique asset management firm, I'm used to paying $10000/month rent in NYC in the upper west side, I think Vegas is so affordable I'm saving almost 70% in my usual rent and no state income/corp tax lol wtf? Forgive me if New Yorkers like me can afford it and help drive up property values, I can afford anything. For example I think Beverly Hills, Bel Air that entire Platinum Triangle and Malibu are bang per buck due to the space relative to NYC. I guess we're crazy and built different lol.

My nieces salon has been robed 3 times not one time the police show up. I guess they are too busy handing out stickers at the park. 🙄

Can you rent an apartment in a neighborhood near the strip with a low credit score?

I move from California to Neveda last year 2023. Because Neveda state 50% house are cheaper than California and no state income tax in Neveda.

This city has changed drastically in the past 20 years.. It hasn't been for the better . As soon as my stepson graduates I'm gone! I have lived her for over 30 years and trust me . Las vegas isn't what they make it out to be on TV....It's not a good place to live at all.

I love the Vegas weather. I'm in Houston and made it a point to visit every August. Just that feeling of stepping off the plane and breathing in the crispy air.... I could hear my sinuses saying "ahhhhh...." that's worth the price of the vacation itself😂

Completely agree about the household and school system. Often overlooked is the household and the parents. I went to an expensive private school my whole life. My family did okay but my friend’s families had money. Some parents were great and really cared for their kids. Many didn’t care and let their kids do whatever they want. The ones who did whatever they wanted. Ended up doing nothing with their life. They had the best education and teachers but it didn’t matter.

3:47 - You can't do that anymore. Companies are now cracking down on this because your "residence" affect the taxes they pay. Now if your job is fully remote, it will be adjusted for your locale. And if you leave that locale, they want to know about it. For example, if you live in CA and got a remote job but decide to temporarily live in Montana for a few months, your boss needs to know. If you don't tell him, that's grounds for being fired. And yes, IT doing their audit and figure out the source of where your VPN is from.

Just moved here from NJ expensive is relative I decided i didnt want to own any more came here and so far so good. I see folks complaining about the cost of car insurance my property taxes in Jersey was 12 thousand a year plus the taxes you pay on everything . Trust me Vegas is a bargain

When people say 125 degrees they're referring to heat index. Official temp is 117 but heat index, which measure how hot it actually feels to an average person, can be 125 or higher
