The more I've learned about places like Germany, Norway, Denmark and so on the more I see some areas in particular holding these very beliefs I always have and because of them have struggled to get on in the states very well despite being born and raised here. I am autistic so a lot of the appeal to me as a teen were the "culture shock" differences you've mentioned. I need to move. I can't stand the states and americans social culture. I never felt like i was home here and I'm finally ready to commit to finding my home by moving around some. Thanks for this video, it was also validating in a lot of differences I've struggles with recently with many friends.

One thing that I don’t think you mentioned (if I missed it somewhere I’m sorry) is that if you fail a compulsory subject three times you:
1. Will be exmatriculated from the university
2. Won’t be able to enrol in the same degree - or one that uses the subject you failed - anywhere in Germany.
This is, in my opinion at least, one of the stupidest rules I’ve ever seen when it comes to education. Especially so since I’ve had more than one professor make their exam absurdly hard (ie 30% pass rate) and then make the retake even harder “since there’s so much time to study”.

Applied sciences vs technical uni, what is better if you're not very independent as a student?
During my undergrad exams were not important, they were only a part of the course, assignments were given more weightage.

In Russia it is very similar - you are almost completely on your own, and the exam is the only thing that is important. Of course it depends on the university, but in general it is like this

guess this is why people from Asian cultures think that Germany is very cold and rude. Seems its how difference cultures communicate in general.

Hey I really wanna study in Germany .The biggest problem that I have encountered in my country is that I can t ask my lecturers detailed questions Is this valid in German ? or this is just valid in some universities ? because not asking a lot of questions or detailed questions to lecturers is common thing in Turkey I really need your opinion and btw your video is really perfect sincerely I m gonna share this video with my sister ☺️

Hey what about the system in a hochchule like I got like a 3.1 score on the abitur in tunisia and got accepted in a mechanical engeneering degree in Achen so yeah I'm really worried about the difficulty of the German education system

German language is the reason why many foreigners fail. I've been dealing with this language for 12 years now with the goal of studying in Germany or Austria. What I'm able to read and understand now has brought me closer to my goal. Many people dedicate a couple of years to this language, than claim they've mastered it and genuinly believe they can handle university courses.
