YT was the last streaming service I paid for. I cancelled all the others because they got greedy and the value was no longer there. Et tu YT? I figured this day would come sooner or later and I'm sad to say it's here. Thank goodness I still have a library card and a DVD collection.

I signed up when it was $1.99. Then it jumped to $7.99 now I see itâs $8.99! Thatâs just crazy! I was even notified it went up. I guess Iâll be canceling. Ridiculous

Apparently they believe ignoring my choice of language to shove channels in alphabets & pictographs from languages I can only guess at + serve the same 50 videos to me no matter what I search or delete channels & my watch history, while deciding New to Me = 13 year old videos is worth ANY money, much less a fee hike is somehow worth paying for. Nope! FREE video from my library is suddenly VERY competitive đ

@joecoollc101Actually I just got the YouTube premium not too long ago but then I found out there was a a huge discount where I got it for $18 for a whole year but it's going to expire in February 1st of next year and then it's going to go back up I may got 5 or 10% off but it's not much. Still expensive though I mean I have to go to Walgreens just to buy a gift card as the minimum is $10 I have to have at least $10 to buy a gift card so and I got the AI that's $10 already so it's going to cost me well usually 26 almost $30 a month after the subscription expires so I'm hoping there's another offer maybe if there's a huge discount but I don't know but I really would appreciate it there was another $18 discount cuz one day I like to paint just an annually the $160 which give 15% discount. But unfortunately I don't have enough money to pay for that.
@MarkMoore-l1dIt wouldn't be so bad,,,,the programing is starting to feel like the 2 satellite companies,,,need to get some more action movies by other artists,, and why when you click on a movie got about half the time that even the movie was trying to watch it happens all the time. How come that's why I pay for premium, I want to watch what I want to watch I don't want any commercials there's a few other things that I really like it's getting ridiculous really. About Go outside myself

@Leo-w1q6hI can totally understand why they had to do this. You see they only profited 60 billion last year. They were 40 billion shy of their goal. For me I have the family plan and after tax, I now pay 29.55 a month or 354.60 annually. I admit I do watch YouTube more than any streaming service, but the reality is itâs ridiculous to constantly raise their rates like they have. Not that they couldnât care less, but shame on you Google executives for doing this. Youâre greedy people that cannot relate to us common folk. Shame on you đĢĩ

mass exodus from the platform? In the beginning it was both add free and subscription free then came excessive greed. Of course the ads are supposed to be targeted. Hence I get lots of ads for things I can't afford or that are gender, the wrong one, specific. Adverts that I suspect are there only to be annoying enough to push me into a subscription I can't afford. Whatever happened to Google being "the good guys".

resent in video commercials. If I am paying to not watch ads then I should not be seeing any ads.
You have
millions of people not paying a dime for YouTube. They violate all the rules using ad skip and zipping through videos so the ads wonât show.
You leave the honest customers picking up the tab for free loaders. While there is wonderful content on YouTube itâs increasingly become AI slop and you know itâs slop.

@jasonjoseph6497I've been a premium member since it was YouTube Red and stuck it out somehow I have the family plan so it was a little more worth it.. however a lot of the creators are just doing their own sponsorship commercials within their video so you still have to sit through an ad it's just done by the creator. But I just had a conversation with customer service because my card was declined and all day long they kept trying to automatically take it like every couple hours and the prices ranged from $19 all the way to $30 and I wanted to know why and they had no answers for me but they did inform me that it was now $29.95 for the family premium. I don't have Apple and the tax difference definitely doesn't fluctuate $10 within a few hours. So I guess if I would have had money in my account at the right time I could have gotten it for $19.95. I mean how ridiculous. If I'm trusting a subscription service with my card information I expect it to be consistent on what's coming out. And they gave me no answers. Like I said I've been with them since the beginning and I'm done. Definitely canceling.

@refusingtogiveupI will have to cancel this after this month I can't afford this I might have if it gave new features and made it worth the 4 dollars extra like being able to move videos in my downloads or something but this isn't worth the increase of price it's a good way to make people leave it

I'm officially DONE with premium. This is pure corporate greed just like PRIME did. It's not the money, it's the principal. YouTube doesn't get delivered by trucks. And half of it is AI garbage now anyway.

@cjsrescuesYeah, when I got that email, I immediately told my family I'm canceling our plan. When I first got YouTube Red, as it was called at the time, it was less than 10 bucks. This is ridiculous.
@i.taylor9080They also have add boxes on videos with premium now, I'm cancelling my premium as well.
