Promise Update • Started: 11 July 2026
I'm watching every video on this channel, one by one—not just to watch, but to implement what I learn.
My father passed away in 2003 when I was in 9th standard. Since finishing 12th, I've been the sole breadwinner of my family. Today I'm 37 years old, a father of two, working a corporate job in India while building my own content creation journey.
I left my very first comment on "The $100 Rule – 9 'Normal' Things That Made Me Rich." That's where I made this promise to myself, and every comment after this is a reminder that I'm still keeping it.
This comment is my accountability log. Every video I finish is one more step toward becoming a better man, a better father, and a better creator.
One day I'll visit the U.S., meet Gabe in person, and thank him for the impact his work has had on my life.

UK here, I just wanted to say it's never to late to get excited about money im 54 and just changed my whole life I've just changed career and I now work for myself, no im not rich but im happy and comfortable and im working towards my goal, but im less stressed and no longer keep up with the jones next door because having things that make me look better doesn't bring me peace, knowing I can get myself out of a sticky situation is what brings me peace, so it's never too late i don't want to look rich anymore i want to feel rich and it's not always about loads of money it's about being ok

Find out who you are. Cutting spending to a minimum helps you find yourself.
@russruss2446I completely agree with this because I learned the hard way that saving money is more about patience than finding the perfect deal. A few years ago I used to buy things as soon as I thought they looked useful, but later I realized many of those purchases were unnecessary. These days I keep a small list of things I actually need and I usually wait a couple of days before placing an order. If I still want the item after that, I know it's probably worth buying. While reading different shopping discussions online, I happened to see Valuecom mentioned once, but I didn't change my routine because my biggest savings have come from planning ahead and avoiding impulse purchases. That simple habit has helped me spend less without feeling like I'm missing out, and I appreciate practical advice like this because it reminds me to stay disciplined every time I shop.
@HOLIYEAYWhy would you want to live your whole life a frugal person. What’s the point of working hard if you can’t enjoy life until you’re old 💀
@CujoCujo-w5sOn top of doing a minimum of $500 a month investing (on robinhood), i have a monthly set amount for groceries and spending. Starting yesterday, I came up with a plan that anytime I would have bought something like a iced coffee and sausage roll and I tell myself no, I immediately go to my cashapp and invest around half of what I would have bought from my cash app money that is set aside from my bank and investing accounts for spending. I intentionally started January 1st if this year and 6 months in, I am very impressed! The feeling of security is real, and amazing! Wish I would have learned all this earlier...
@jerryc3088Retired at 24 😭😭😭😭😭 Yoh that's literally 80% impossible in South Africa... Especially coming from disadvantaged background Myb around 40... yes 🙂

@TheMoneyMap-s7oMost money advice lists feel overwhelming but what made this different was how many of these tips are just about changing your relationship with money before you ever change your behavior — the mindset shifts hit harder than any of the tactical advice because none of the tactics work if your thinking about money is still broken
@KinantiSageRetired at 24? Bro's almost completely grey.
@Moneyl1ftI hope you will add Arabic dubbing if you want to increase followers and views.
@mohamed_tvIt's crazy how the haters in the comments can't even wrap their minds around the basic fundmaentals
@0Ninja0Dude0You aren’t retired! You are a freelancer. Retired means you no longer work and live off your investments.
@heatherjeanne823Realistic take. People are always one or the other. It's either live as minimalistically as possible with no emphasis on improving income or they're all about improving income but no emphasis on minimizing money waste. I've been telling people for years they need both. Why put all of your energy into spending less when you could be diverting some of that energy into making more at the same time and get the best of both? It just makes sense
@OTRFTransportHi,
With all due respect but you are a niche group.
Those people who live pay check to pay check are not incompetent or uninformed. They are doing jobs that run this world but do not allow for them to become financially free.
You are living not like a billionaire but equally in some ways, in a bubble.
How do you not see this?
Also, AI is ruining the planet. When an invention is bad for the world but good for a select few you saying it now exist so why not use it is so selfish. Your kids will inherit a world of increasing pollution because people like you decided to join the AI- flow. Whoever will be paying the price.
That’s mindnumbingly selfish to me.
Again, those 75% might hold jobs you need them to hold to do your niche work and their job might not even be helped with AI. I hope in the past 5 months since posting this Video, you read more about AI and will change your mind, for the planet your kids live on.
Happy for you you figured out your style. But you truly must stop selling the idea all people could do this, some of this but it will not lead to this lifestyle of yours.
Who will you rent to if we all our own houses anyway?
And so on….
Keep being happy though, is wonderful to see you got there. You being a handsome guy has also giving you a head start by the way. Never underestimate all the “little”
I'm 27, married, paid off house, paid off cars. Its worth it to really knock this out as soon as possible
@shanebeecham7108Just dont spend your money on bs

@SerjohnI needed to start wearing the same shirt 8 times. Parents and girlfriend don't like it but it's okay, some time a bit funny if they cover noses around me
@Gamb1no-e3yOne thing Ive done is build SaaS for free, test it then once it works use that experience and service to market it for others. Then build that into a working company model where you actually solve problems for big and small companies! With AI you can do anything
