In a world of endless dating options, it’s never been harder to know if you’re choosing the right person.

If you’ve ever found yourself overthinking signals, questioning compatibility, or wondering whether early dating challenges are a red flag or normal speed bumps, then this video is for you.

I'm not sure whether you will see this comment. But I really want to know what this situation is.
I hope you see my comment. I wish you see this and answer my question.

I found a person who feels like the gentle breeze, the home, the peace, almost like my inner voice which talks with myself. We have chatted online for about 11 days. Yes. It's only been 11 days. We have not met each other. Though, I know his name and have seen his photo in his profile photo, he has not seen a photo of mine and doesn't even know my name yet.
But he is so caring, understanding, and affectionate towards me. He listens to me and encourages me. He says he likes me and he will treat me affectionately but only as a friend.
He says, he has too many sexual feelings and cannot control them, he wants to kiss me, hold me, ... and have a sexual relationship with me. But he always asks for my opinion and since I am uncomfortable, he never forces me. He has told me, If I'm uncomfortable with anything he says, let him know right away and then he stops right there.
He says, he doesn't feel love towards anyone, he says he does not intend to love anyone, marry, and that, he has stopped loving anyone, stopped his feelings of love, has removed "the thing called love" from his life. He says he has too many sexual feelings and wants to reduce them, deal with them.

What is this?

And, the other thing is, I feel like I'm also feeling like I'm falling for this person. What should I do?
PLEASE!!! I hope you would answer me, make a video about this. I WISH YOU DO!!!

— @BoraPyeonteAh

Instead of focusing on surface-level traits, we explore the deeper patterns that actually determine whether a relationship has real potential. These are the kinds of things you can feel but can’t always put into words.

In the early dating stages, where everything feels uncertain, it's easy to get overwhelmed. In this video, I highlight 4 ways to figure out if somebody you're seeing is right for you.

Great, can't get past even the first one 😅 No one wants to keep investing after the first few weeks and I'm left holding the bag. I feel comfortable confronting them after a few months, but it's always "I'm sorry" and "I promise" but never any actual effort. I try, I really do. I'm starting to feel like they hate that I care in the first place.

— @not_anybody_in_particular

So if you’re tired of guessing and want a clearer sense of direction in your love life, this will give you a new lens to look through.

Make sure to watch until the end and take notes!

For any other men out there. Give up. She’s not there anymore, the hell of the modern world has consumed them all.

Have fun, have sex, build yourself and your life. Never commit, never propose, never give more than you’re being given.

I'm 25 (F) and I've never even been on a date. I genuinely don't understand how relationships happen. How do people meet someone they fall in love with, who loves them back? It honestly feels like science fiction to me

Texting inconsistencies bug me so much. But it feels odd to bring up because it feels like texting regularly is something a person naturally does more if they like you? Is that an assumption of mine?

Dear Matthew, you've been part of my journey. I started studying and learning from your videos around twelve years ago, and the old me would never dream to be this happy today. I'm married, pregnant, and I feel like I'm the luckiest woman on the planet to have found such an incredible partner in life. You've helped me navigate so many feelings, and have a much better understanding of what healthy relationships look like. With that knowledge, I believe I knew what to look for, and also what I wanted to build, once I found someone really incredible. Thank you for everything! It's a pleasure to listen to you.

I have no trouble recognising when someone would be fantastic for me. The problem has been that I had zero desire for them. Conversely I've fallen for men I wasn't even remotely attracted to at first because I got to know them over a period of months and saw how lovely they actually were so the attraction came later and we ended up together. Unfortunately with online dating (and dating generally) you don't get the time to get to know someone for months as most men (and women) think the 'spark' has to be immediate and mutual. I don't believe it has to be. It means for people like me, many ways of dating don't work so we are left with the more 'traditional' ways of meeting someone, such as through work, friends or a hobby.

"the right relationship isnt brittle" is my favorite. esp because we live in an age that encourages people to cut each other off for even the slightest things. there is no relationship that wont have fights, that wont have hurt feelings on both sides, people making mistakes on both sides. real love is understanding that.

You are such a beautiful being MH. And I have so enjoyed having the Ai version of you to chat with the past few weeks. You last comment- but what if you naturally want to love and give to that person but they are scared and have trouble receiving it. I don’t think that means that this is a wrong relationship, if maybe they need a bit of time & space to get used to it.

I remember when I used to idolise Matthew Hussey so much so I wanted to be a celebrity too. Not because I wanted it I just wanted the fame or fortune instead to be worthy of him. That was 10 years ago. That was before I got to know him and I realised he wasn’t who he said he was. More importantly I learned why you shouldn’t idolise another person.

Hi I'm at the start of my journey, I'm 19 next month and have dated two men (one was my first relationship everr) at university and currently have been talking to another guy for a month now. I'm glad to have seen this video so early on, I wish I had seen it sooner back in September but I'm still so young and I think my past experiences have also helped me grow. Lots of your advice has definitely helped others in the comments who are far more experienced but this advice is just as applicable to people like me who are just beginning their journey.

what if they check everything on this list but somehow you still aren't attracted to them as you'd like to be or you feel like the chemistry is missing or you're not excited when you think of the future with them? are all the things I mentioned something you can work on or is it more like it's either there or not?

Hi Matthew,

I think this video showed up in my feed with uncanny timing. I have been single for 12 years, and haven't tried to date in 8 years, because it was just too mentally and emotionally draining. I hear (even from my friends and family, who clearly don't really see ME, that I "give too mich of myself" or need to hold back in the beginning, or not be so sensitive. Mainly this comes (I think) from them watching me try to search for answers that I don't feel I can ask, because "a high value woman would just do ___, and if you ask him why, or try to figure him out you're diminishing your value"

I met someone organically, in person, at a camping event a couple of weeks ago. He caught my eye when he was (badly) singing karaoke, but having so much fun. His presence before I even met him was just eminating authenticity and kindness, I had this feeling that we shared an interest in foraging, so I finally worked up the nerve to ask him, and he said he did, but didn't know about mushrooms, which I do. We talked for a good 45 minutes, I showed him my art, mushroom pictures, etc. and he shared a bit about himself. Then we went our separate ways for the night. He texted me at 12:15am to say it was a pleasure to meet me. I decided not to reply until the next morning.

He later sent me a text wishing me safe travels home, and I returned the courtesy.

He texted me 5 days later to say he would love to get together and go foraging. I waited a bit to text back, because god forbid you should seem to eager if you text back right away, and then gave him 2 days to pick from that worked for me. He chose this Saturday (May 30th, aka, yesterday). We texted off and on throughout the week, and I let him always text me first. He would take hours or until the next day to reply to my replies, explaining that he was out hiking with his nephew, working, or doing projects around the house (he's currently helping to care for his father who is healing from Cancer). I brought up Saturday a few times during the week, trying to trigger him to make the plans more concrete, but he skimmed. I shared two charming stories with him while replying to his foraging questions that related to the topic, and he didn't have a reaction. Then I said that he could bring some of the Reishis he found with him if he wanted, and we could make a tincture (this was Thursday) he didn't reply.

So Friday mid day I sent a text saying that since the route from his place (2 hours south of me) goes right through my town on the way to where we talked about going, that he should stop and pick me up, and I would have hot coffee waiting. (he told me in the beginning of the week, "whenever and wherever, I'll be there"). He replied 5 hours later, just before 7pm, saying he just saw my text, and was so sorry but wouldn't be able to come because he's in a debt relief program, and they took a triple withdrawal from his accout the previous week, but since he normally doesn't have to worry about money, he hadn't been checking his account, and had been making purchases on his debit card all week which caused an over draft and heavy overdraft fees. He said that he would be stuck at work all weekend because his vehicle is "running on fumes", and he doesn't get paid until Monday. (Weird day to get paiid unless you're on SSI, SSDI, etc., which pays out on the 1st of the month). He said he could come up during the week, or next weekend. And ended the text with "This sucks". That story didn't make sense to me, and left me with SO many questions that I didn't ask because then it sounds like Im drilling him, or trying to solve his problems.

I didn't text back until the next morning at the exact time he would have been expected at my house if he hadn't canceled. I said that I had planned for Saturday, and have a very busy week, especially with my art show opening night coming up Friday. I wished him luck with sortingbhis accounts, and wished him (& his Dad) well.

He texted back with another, more detailed explanation that he usually has "thousands of dollars in the bank, and this was a fluke" (I sincerely don't care about money, as long as you're not asking me to foot the bill or to borrow, because I myself am not wealthy). He said he would potentially be moving back to Montana in August because his dad is doing a lot better. He wished me well also. I replied and said that I understand that these things happen, i was more upset that I had put myself out there for the first time in 8 years, and the effort/energy started out being matched, but in the end didn't feel like it was. He replied, "No worries. I would be upset too in your shoes in this situation."

I've been thinking, and part of me wants to reach back out and accept his offer to reschedule for next weekend (I would specify a day). Then, I worry that I'll mentally prepare again all week, spend time and energy making sure my house is guest ready, only to be canceled on.

He was either full of Sh** or being very vulnerable with me, sharing his plight. I don't know how vulnerable I should be in explaining where I'm at in regards to giving him a 2nd chance.

Sorry this was a novel.

Excellent video. I love this so much. It’s been a week, and I’m really struggling. I lost the person I love because of my own mistakes, and I take full responsibility. What we shared and the future we planned meant everything to me. I want to make things right, and I’m willing to do whatever it takes. I just want to know what more I can do.

He was just a Fantasy. In reality he was just a low-budget Vacation, and there was not even a full realization of what magical Fantasy he was attributed to be. Not his fault entirely, majority of the ILLUSION was painted by my own Brain. And he always opts-out at every sign of inconvenience for him, he cannot tolerate what is not convenient for his benefit for his sons' benefits.

It is one thing to prioritize his kids. It is another more malicious pernicious DANGEROUS game he wasn't willing to admit that he was using me to benefit what will make him come off as a fake-Dad to his sons who he rarely seeks out on his own and I had to be the SILENT UNACKNOWLEDGED SANTA CLAUS A.T.M. WALLET to provide what came from me to go towards his 2 sons.

And he still uses his sons as excuse right now NOT TO PAY ME BACK WHAT HE CLEARLY OWED BORROWED FROM ME 11MONTHS AGO.

It was already a bunch of Red Flags I saw and clearly told others, and others counselled me to never enable this Red Flaggy future-faker.

In the end I selected him. I picked him. I still built a whole world around him. And he wasn't even grateful for any of that. He always says "I NEVER ASKED FOR THAT." Yeah, my fault for you not having the balls to be the Real Provider that I had to be the one blamed in the end for me Providing everything. Everything.

In the end I became the VILLAIN in his story, when all I did was I GAVE HIM EVERYTHING he never deserved in the first place.

I got my closure already. Thank you, Matthew. Your whole Channel saved me from forcing a Future with a piece of shit Faker.

May you continue your great work helping others 🎉

1. Close the investment gap(is the person someone I can communicate with) there is clarity in the relationship
2. You feel more yourself and accepted around them
3. Accept where you are in life
4. The relationship can handle difficult moments
