Later, we learn that the CIA had plenty of info on the terrorists in the United States. They even had the street address of two of the terrorists on 6333 MOUNT ADA ROAD • Apt. # 152 • San Diego, CA . Their names were even listed in the local phone book with the address and phone number. There was knowledge of them taking flying lessons in Boeing Aircraft Simulators. Watch PBS's • NOVA • The Spy Factory. The CIA did not tell anyone, just watched them.

I watched Peter Jennings faithfully throughout the Gulf War. He was such a calming presence that kept a lot of us sane. The difference in news back then is they weren't trying to keep us anxious and in panic mode.

I grew up watching Peter Jennings. My parents always watched him and I grew watching and hearing him. A great journalist.

My God, I am amazed every time I watch and listen to Peter Jennings at just how great a journalist he really was! We shall never see the likes of him ever again!

Diane said that people were shopping but they were probably just getting a change of clothes and food since their apartments were blocked off. 🤷‍♀️

Jennings was calm BECAUSE he had a sense this was a false flag from the beginning. He was one of the very few who tried to keep emotions low. Inorder so that the public can really see what is really happening .

I remember very well his question to Rudy Julliani:

"You were at the head of the emergency response/terrorism response team for so many years .. and you failed to predict that something like this was going to happen? "

@Cjephunneh

Peter Jennings urbane and calm demeanor helped get me through a profoundly awful day.

I miss living in a country with journalistic integrity. I remember watching this when it happened and feeling so grateful there were people covering these important events who were motivated just to get the story out. No politics, no unspoken party loyalty, no propaganda, just the news.

I was born in 1997, and I remember watching him when I was a kid. I was only 8 when he passed away, but I remember how great and professional he was. An adult I actually looked up to. Crazy to think he’d be in his mid 80s now. May he Rest peacefully ✌🏽

Jennings was far superior to both Rather and Brokaw. True class

It felt so hallow in the moments, days, weeks and months after the 9.11 attacks, it also felt like we had all been violated, at least emotionally in an unsanctimonious way. We pray that we never see such a horrendously egregious act again in this perfectly imperfect land. The people and lives lost that day will never be forgotten, for the smallest of them are heroes in our hearts and minds, we also celebrate the first responders, those still with us and those not, for with you we stand united, safe under an umbrella of strength and peace of mind.

This video shows the complete lack of class and manners missing in politics today. By that I mean: Donald Trump. With these men here... no ranting and raving...no disrespect of women and minorities...no stealing. Etc. 2024, sad times. Sad sad times.

I remember growing up and I was into alot of conspiracy theories surrounding Bush but honestly now that I look back at all this I truly appreciate how brutal and unforgiving bush was with these terrorists. He went ALL in with absolutely no mercy. People don't understand how hard the U.S went on these people. Torture, water boarding, sleep deprived, mass killings, it might sound harsh but we HAD to do these things unfortunately.

No wonder USA supports Israel, both nations are aggressors who play victims.
USA is responsible for the deaths of of millions of innocent people yet all they do is whine about what victims they are.

I support USA but they were really overdue some karma and this is a small taste of what they've done to so many peoples across the globe.

Taliban, Hamas, Israel are all terrorist organisations and America has created FAR more terror than it's ever received.

America is the rich bully who always gets away with it because their rich daddy can afford the best lawyers and muscle. But I'd be an idiot to not think Islam is a danger and Zionism breeds Nazis

Peter Jennings would be dead himself less than 4 years later. He was a smoker who died of lung cancer.

@jshepard152

I was 10 when it happened. I thought we were getting fully invaded like they had ground forces and shit and we’re just gunna try and take over. It’s crazy tho I wasn’t scared, more confident in the US to fight back.

@tag9047

Peter Jennings was a victim of 9/11. When he passed in 2005, he started smoking after 9/11 due to the stress of that event.
