Adolf should have read Sun Tzu..,
@BravissJust imagine being a Russian or German soldier in the cold of winter in that battle , I can't imagine that, with what they went through 😢😮
@BOOGERBOY007History tells us that, it's impossible to defea militarily the Mother RUSSIA. ❤
@otargigiberia9874History repeating itself, after attacking Venezuela and easily kidnapping Maduro, they were confident to attack Iran, things are not really going as planned
@sauljob2396Manstien did the samething.
@StevenHartz-e8oPlease let us all take a moment to marvel at Tim Piggot-Smith's narration...a veritable work of art - tone, pitch, class, accuracy, everything. I used to watch these documentaries in my youth and be totally immersed because of his voice.
@dixjam2258Too brutal 😢
@historytellerbynisar1Must have been hell.
@Bradydog-in7ut1:19:02 I hope to know what this officer was saying!
@508fatehI have read that Kursk was the biggest tank battle and Stalingrad was the biggest battle. I've read that a number of times.
@mitchellwatt3741Germany was a mounted army they didn't have the same amount of armour as the Russians did. Most Germans counted on horse and buggy to transport ammunition which was way in the back of the line. Armour had to wait
@lovenliveGod2499In the book “ Scorched Earth “ by Paul Carrol , there is a chapter devoted to the Russian intel operation through an agent code named Werther . The Russians basically knew all the information of the German plan . When , where , how many units . Never discovered who or how many agents involved , but it is believed to have come from within the German high command itself .
@richard3536American tanks were good, but they were gasoline powered. and the tank crews nicknamed them Rosingol or Zippo lighters.
@musicauthority674The germans were going to loose no matter what. They could double their force and loose. They got lucky they fell first. They didn't want this heat. And the horrible things that happened to their last minute friends. Whom i think out classed the Germans. The cowards walking out of berlin, for years.
@scottchristner4242We shouldn't think there was any great love for Stalin among Russians, people had to fight or be slaughtered so they defended thier homes, farms and loved ones.
@user-dz2mb6sn6yDoes the author know the difference between Russian and Soviet?
@markbrunner9081Anyone else feel like these constant advert breaks every 5 minutes are getting a little out of hand? 😔
@dantaylor099The LUCY Spy Ring was NOT given information from Bletchley Park, it was an independent spy organization.
@stevencraig366Crazy that the Northern Pinzer of the German Attack ONLY had one army, the 9th Army attacking. Any rule of attack suggests you have to have a 2 to 1 superiority at the least at the point of attack to succeed. Again this battle was lost before it even begin. Art of Sunzi.
@Fish-i3r8r“Modelle” 😂
@jordanvivona968It was the greatest tank battle in history, that is for sure.
@nole_90Got all these on dvd always watching them . Excellent.
@paulmillard1130Brilliant...Frederick Mertz should watch this and forget about creating the strongest army in Europe,,again!...by the way his grandfather was in the SS//
@gordonwellard1415So Kharkev was once in Kursk in Russia. So you see these photos of people starving in Kharkiv from Holodomor from the evil Stalin killing Ukrainians when he was really killing his own. My guess is that Holodomor was not done deliberately.
@sebolddanielNapoleon Bonaparte and Germany lost the most of their most qualified and veterans in Russia! Both armies winter did a number on ground forces and brought the supply train to a crawl! Winter and bad roads in Russian Winters!
@digitalworms👍👍
@ielts-ai-uztoo many commercials..
@wade998And what did the Russians receive as their reward for helping set Europe free? Betrayals by the same European countries they set free. This is unfortunate. Russians deserve the same respect shown to the Americans and the British. Shame to Europe
@TochukwuJaireh-NjokuThe narrator says Russians when he meant to say the Soviets 😀😀
@moges72088mm gun, 110mm armor, 21 liter engine. Top speed 24 mph lol
@Leedz13thGreat video!
@Lastwords-2What a documentary. Very well done.
@igorcamargo8362I've watched this 10 times over the years ,easy..................................
@DrakeHistory-usAmount of adverts makes this unwatchable
@buggerlugs106When I showed this video today to a 83 years old Canadian man , what do you think was his impression? He sadly said " and then we had communism" He was upset that the Russians won.
@irenascleaningservices4896Actually the Germans won at kursk, but they didn't have any further reserves to advance further.
@anandnairkollam36:12 why they still have their weapons as PoW?
@Pat68Bln14:42 first time i see enemys running in an old Video, you can see them running at the end of that way
@Pat68BlnSchlachten wie diese im Zweiten Weltkrieg, wird die Welt so schnell nicht wiedersehen.
@Pat68BlnRussians never cared about their losses.
they had enough to sacrifice
Brilliant documentary. Very detailed, very well narrated and brilliant footage used.
@TFOURIEOne army of evil men fighting another army of evil men that are even worse than the other... No longer sure which was the “least evil” among the Soviets and Germans in WWII
@RetreatHell
