New Book! The Traveler And The Bard, A wonderful fantasy adventure for all ages
Hey there
JP Morgan created ROCY and ROCX as tax efficient alternatives to JEPI and JEPQ for those living out of individual brokerage accounts. JEPI and JEPQ are better for retirement accounts.

I had just started a position in JEPI this year. Now I have to look into your investments to see if they are a good fit for me. Also like the new outtakes at the end

How does pension play into this? I remember you telling a cool story from when you worked for Honolulu PD I believe it was. Do you use that as backup?

Chris, take a look at IWMI and TSPY etfs. you might like them. IWMI is a Russell 2000 Covered Call ETF, and TSPY is 0DTE SPY ETF. Both are good additions to GPIQ, GPIX, SPYI, QQQI because IWMI offers diversification from S&p and Nasdaq, and the other offers a different CC strategy. Both have excellent yields and no NAV erosion.

I own GPIQ but it is not the highest yielding Nasdaq ETF although it does have 1 of the best total returns. Some funds you might want to look at is OVL that is paying about a 10% yield, it is outperforming it's underlying VOO over the last 6 plus years. And they do have an international fund that pays about 10% OVF. And MLPI is paying about 14% yield although I know some sites like Stock Analysis only shows a yield of about 9%. And I understand not owning all your funds from the same company for less company specific risk. I personally like TDAQ and TSPY for a portion of my QQQ and SPY income portfolio TDAQ pays about 16.8% and TSPY pays about 14%. But TDAQ has only been out since September 2025 so not a whole year of data on it. And every covered call ETF has nav erosion when the underlying falls so does the distribution and the price. If BTC goes back up to 126000 BTCI will go up in price as well.

I like MLPX over MLPI <: MLPI has a fairly large return of capital and that are some capital gains and the expense is less on MLPX

Iโm happy you talked about covered calls ETFโs. I put my crypto from Coinbase onto XBCI ETF covered call. Too many tax forms added for crypto on Coinbase and any crypto wallet so I just moved it into XBCI. I like your lifestyle and enjoy your stories. Thanks.

Great explanation. Running covered calls can be a full time job - like property management.
Though it can be automated with an AI harness and an API or local model,
There is a lot of value in hiring accountable professionals to do it for you.

What do I have to do in order to start?
Thank you.

Covered call make high distributions. In fact, the ETF โsellsโ a high upside for the option premium. So in a strong bull market the covered call etf may perform lower than a corresponding etf without calls. Maybe important to explain.

How about at what % would you exit a covered call etf at if it wasn't performing ?

Me in Europe don't have so many options Qyld and JEQP
But I think they are ok 10% yield both at least
Great video guy. I just read social security expected to start reducing payments in 6-8 years...it is not well funded. Everyone has to plan for this reality and adjust their budgets accordingly. US spending too much money on wars and not on their people.

@bondjames571Iโm not a fan of covered call stocks or ETFs. SCHD is on fire this year. Now thatโs a great ETF. I like dividends and growth. Different strokes for different folks. Iโm a fan.
