As a person who was considered a "cool kid" I never wanted to be in the clics, I never wanted to be prom king. I constantly moved lunch tables to avoid the gossipers and cheerleaders and I was the first one to stand up for anyone I saw getting bullied. My wife went the same high school and was harassed because of her weight, her haircut and her hand me down clothes. I didn't know her back then but I wish I did. She wouldn't have gone through any of that. All the "cool kids" from my high school are either divorced, dead from drug overdoses or just random people that no one remembers or cares about them being "cool".

Even now im in master degree, i still cant find my way to fit and sometimes i wonder how people can easily get friends or communicating w everyone casually. While in some cases im being treated differently (and the fact we just literally in the first year..)
