Fortnite Chapter 7 Is Atrocious...

I miss when Fortnite maps didn’t have a theme, it was just a bunch of stuff together. Also they need to add old poi’s from old maps back.

My problem is I don’t care, it might be because I hardly played this season at all or that I’ve actually played too much Fortnite to the point where any new location doesn’t surprise me, either way I simply just don’t care about any of the locations

I've never been too fond of the POIs/biomes where they are "otherworldly" (basically turning a forest a different color (purple, for example)). They are almost never truly original and feel very basic. I think there should be one primary POI per biome, so each portion of the map feels truly special. Like, think of CH1 S8's volcano area. That volcano IS the primary POI, and I think it's pretty cool, and it's memorable (at least to me).

I miss the more experimental reworks of existing POIs. I really though CH1 S9's Neo Tilted Towers (or whatever it was called) was cool!
I think it'd be cool if Fortnite looked at their previous POIs and tried to refresh them (not remixing), make them fit with the new gameplay formula. Rebuild those beloved locations and make them work fabulously with the new player and item mechanics.

Basically, grab the old POI parts (pre-CH2 style), redesign them (but not replace them) to fit the new style, and redefine those POIs, even to make them larger in scope. They could make a larger version of the CH1 map featuring these conceptual redesigns of areas. It's like a "remix" but closer to the source material.

I’d be interested in another season like C2S3 - when the map was mostly water. That actually felt innovative and memorable. The volcano was a cool addition too. Seems we don’t really get stuff like that anymore.

Very few changes, but frequency was par for the course. Boring themes and atmosphere overall. Few, if any exciting locations.


Also, HUGE fall off in terms of server performance and game performance too. Very disappointing if this is a trend and the reason for the VBucks price increase.

Three was the best chapter map 4 had the best season map ( season 2 of it) then they ruined it with the jungle.

Honestly, yeah, the map looks so different I don’t like this and also what kind of disappoint me as the cars. Because I’m not seeing any cars whenever I run by to it. But epic. Got cars around back in. chapter.5 I hate this chapter 6

Holy L take. These pois stand out so much more than any poi on the chapter 5 or 6 map for me. I thought i waa gonna hate this chapter when we got all the leaks about it, but its fire. The map is diverse and fun to explore, the story is interesting again, and season 2 looks like its only an improvement to the game

No no no no no. Snow and desert bioms are terrible, no need for taiga, savanna and so on. I get it. You don't like this map. IMO the map is between nice and mediocre. But OG POIs? No. Desert? No. Snow and ice? No. Taiga? No no no. Underwater? No no no no.

The problem with this season began with the surfing. Then one after the other game-breaking glitch were introduced. Deteriorated matchmaking and cheaters are huge problems also.

Chapter 6 POIs were more built into the map and felt vertical even if they weren’t. It’s like chapter 7 they designed all the pois separately and placed them in an island of random hills.

Just hope that if they add poi’s from chapters back, DONT BRING BACK THE JUNGLE PLEASE! 😅 that stuff was annoying as hell.

Oninoshima during Hunters was just Peak.
The Golden Coast apart from Wonkeeland and Sandy Strip is just plain boring.

In Chapter 3 there was a Music related town and i always asked myself why they put shit like this where nobody lands anyways

I only started playing last September, so I don't have a lot to compare this map to. Only last season. But I preferred last season to this one.

the simpsons season was the best

I personally am seriously sick of these extremely large maps. chapter 1 was a great map because of its not-so-large size. Ever since Chapter 2, early to midgame (if you dont drop at a hotspot) becomes a literal hide and seek match. 100 players are simply too sparse of a count for a map so large. I propose 150 players, or make chapter 8 not so huge 😭
