How to Be Unforgettable on a Date | Matthew Hussey
Video Overview & Insights
►► Get My Secrets to Mastering the First 5 Minutes of Any Situation
Before going on the first date I like to set my boundaries if the person starts talking about my body, my looks, or joke around about sex. I have heard men tell me that im trying to control the situation and they say go with the flow. But what if im uncomfortable? Some say oh you are old school or conservative, which is not true. Why can't men learn, just because a woman is beautiful it does not mean they are easy? They still have a mind. Another thing i hesr is, dont be afraid to reach out to men yiu are interesed. When i do, the rekationship kadt only obe night or they play game and dont reply to me for few days then they do, to keep je interested so they can ge in ctrol. How can woman protect themselves from tgese oeople?

When you’re dating in 2022, you can almost be sure that the person in front of you on that first date is dating multiple people at the same time. This omnipresent truth can make you nervous as you so desperately want to stand out from the crowd.
The truth is, we all want so badly to be unforgettable on a date . . . but actually making that happen can feel tricky.
I love the is video. I have a first date coming up and your advice is great and will help me to slow down on me and focus on my date…thank you
In the pursuit of “making someone like us,” we may give in to the knee-jerk reaction of trying to impress them, or worse . . . people please.
You look like a buff Daniel Radcliffe
Even though we told ourselves we’d be chill and genuine, we suddenly find ourselves working our most spectacular moments into conversation, hoping they’ll see us for the treasure we are.
Or we get so nervous that our walls go up and we lose all warmth and become sarcastic and cutting instead.
Active listening involves three actions: Acknowledge; Inquire; and Paraphrase.
These performances will often have us showcasing the more insecure sides of ourselves, taking the focus away from the purpose of being on that date in the first place: connection.
But luckily, truly connecting—and making yourself memorable—is much simpler than that.

Good word
@harveyyoder6736These 3 points on first meeting have really really helped me
@jackiegrace77Brilliant!
@emotionalvitaminsOh no, Matthew, not much of problems, feelings or vulnerability on a 1st date! I much more like some response to my presentation/profile and showing any congruence with his own is what mostly appeals to me contacting me on online dating-site. Giving clarity that indicates possible match and is clear enough for me to judge whether we seem to hve sth in common and it would be fun to date. Then I want to have fun and light talk the first time(s). That is such a nice thing about meeting strangers: not knowing or having to hear about their problems, feelings and vulnerabilities.
On TheJohari Window, surely that comes later on in the contact? Unless you mean just a whiff of it,that's OK.
But I can get my fingerprint wrong, in extreme circumstances & environments that cause me to act out of character.
@chahnohvelGreat, practical dating tips — I found the communication examples especially useful. Would love more videos on first-date conversation starters and building emotional connection. Thanks!
@Bud-t3wTwo minutes of information crammed into a 16 minute video by a money grubbing You Tube scumbag...
@JHank346Very important point
@sayurikitamura7109Really useful advice — the tips about being confident and present were super actionable. Thanks!
@Tereasa-u8p3wWhen I act myself...chatty friendly good manners etc I get the "had a great time but there wasn't a spark for me but good luck" message.... that's why I'm here
@leer774You know what the best advice is, BE YOURSELF! smile and relax, ask questions and have fun.
Thats how they will remember you!
I'm having a first date on the 27th from another country. Is it ok to ask someone what they're struggling with, or we should wait till they say it themselves?
@gabrielobum8259The alpha vs sigma debate always turns into people arguing without facts. Honestly, Sigma Male Evolution: Sigma Vs Alpha by Jake Radford (Amazon) should be required reading before anyone makes a YouTube video about it.
@Ted9-b8lBe handsome and that's it
@godcanchangeeverything5934Thank you
@Nahzh-m1rJimmy on relationships is a better page than matthew hussey .

M
Open to listen to it but i feel hopeless n feels like for everything matthew hussey is saying has no solution . I feel hopeless listening to his explanations..
It jus sounds fancy but his solutions lack soul ..
I used to think femininity was about appearance. Until I read Woman He Can't Unsee by Kayla Dravert. Now I understand it’s about presence, about energy, about silence that speaks louder than words. I carry myself differently and everyone feels it. Especially me. Btw great video and thank you for sharing!
@kiraaanpzBe carful to give advice to a women😂
@jamescarter6791: Don't have an OF
2: Smile!
3: Ask questions about them (don't go on and on talking about yourself)
It’s a lovely thought — truly — especially when it comes to intimacy. But reality, as we know, tends to follow a different script. I’ve been on more than a few dates and met men who were SEEMINGLY kind, charming, and sincere. And yet, despite showing up with honesty, warmth, and genuine curiosity — I often found myself in a theatre where mind games and manipulation are the currency of the day.
Honesty, fairness, and a touch of playful lightness seem to belong more to fairy tales than to dating. It often feels like a performance: carefully rehearsed roles, where pretense replaces presence. Sincerity gives way to strategic charm, and emotional sleight of hand becomes the main act — all in pursuit of an advantage, or quite simply, sex… which, ironically, everyone wants but few are willing to name it. aloud.😏
In the end, dating taught me something unexpected: I’ve never enjoyed my own company more...
A valuable lesson, really — better to be single than to compromise on values and a decent, peaceful life. on the ground. with a smile.
The focus on truly listening and making the other person feel heard is such a powerful message, and applicable to all relationships, not just dating. It's a great reminder that being interested is far more impactful than trying to be interesting.
@junior-b3e3tSuch a simple shift in perspective – from trying to be interesting to being interested – can make all the difference in creating a lasting connection, not just on dates, but in all areas of life.
@LorrineGoldmannThis isn't just dating advice; it's a blueprint for building genuine relationships in every aspect of life by truly hearing and understanding others. The "connect, don't coach" point especially hits home – empathy is the foundation of unforgettable connections.
@donau-p2wFocusing on connecting, not coaching, really resonated – it's easy to fall into fixer mode, but true connection comes from empathy.
@AsiaOrtiz-u3dThis is such valuable advice for not just dating, but for deepening all your relationships. It's a great reminder that genuine connection comes from truly hearing and understanding others, not just trying to impress them. I'm going to try focusing on "capturing the essence" more often!
@MellissaWillnerIf you have to be told or taught how to be unforgettable.
Hint. You’ll never be.
This isn't just about dates; it's about building genuine human connection, which is essential in every aspect of life. Active listening and showing genuine interest are the keys to making a lasting impression. Thanks for sharing these invaluable insights, Matthew!
@lilian-b4fI actually rather get advice than turning the page to them 😅❤ it’s like point 3
@sunnyssecret755This video highlights the importance of genuine connection, not just manufactured charm. Truly listening and understanding someone makes you unforgettable, in dating and in life.
@Anjelica-t9xThis isn't just about dating; it's about building genuine human connection by truly listening and understanding others. It's a powerful reminder that being present and empathetic can make you unforgettable in any relationship. I'm going to focus more on capturing the essence of what people are saying.
@Shawnta-o8iThis is so helpful for building deeper relationships, not just romantic ones. It's a reminder that genuine connection comes from truly hearing and understanding another person's experience. I'm going to try asking "What does that mean to you?" more often!
@Gloria-c7c5qTreat them mean keep them keen !
@DuncanLeslie-nv3wuVery instructive
@JulieBelhumerVery interesting
@RobinDavis-m4vIt was very informative
@KrisFaubionThis is such a great dating advice! 🎉 I am definitely going to share it with my adult sons as I also learned something new from this video. I like organic conversation better than scripted because they are so natural. My favorite thing you said here is: "spontaneously impactful." Thank you so much, Matthew! 🙏❤️😊
@ewalichorowicz4614I think sometimes we have too much dating advice. Wouldn't learning on things to do during a date after you had a date make you self critical?
Because you don't know if you like the person until the dates over
