How To Release Your Own Music AND ACTUALLY GET STREAMS! (Distribution, Registration, Marketing, etc)
Video Overview & Insights
In this video, Austin shows you the entire process of releasing a new song as an independent artist! This video dives into how to distribute, register, market, playlist pitch, and format a song for a release! These are the same tips Austin has used to get millions of streams on his own records, and hundreds of millions of streams on records he's produced!

This is great!! What if I have a full album I want to release 10 songs, the old school way. Is that even recommended anymore or should I release one song at a time?

If youβve used all of the various distributors over time does that mean youβre having to pay each of them an annual fee in order to prevent your music from being taken down? Iβve been trying to use Sound On - itβs not going well so far!

Mic - Lauten Audio LT-386 Eden
This is really valuable information. Most of these things I would've never thought about. I've only recently started sincerely diving into music production and I'm mostly doing it as a hobby but it's nice to see what it would take to have at least somewhat of a chance to make a living off of it.

I am sending you the BIGGEST HUG right now! π€ Thank you SO much! After a decade of doing small gigs singing jazz, blues, soul, and pop covers, I'm finally releasing my first EP of original rnb/pop songs in early 2026. It's honestly a bit difficult to pinpoint my genre since I pulled from so many styles. Anyway - I was SO LOST on the registration part of the process and this video and handout are saving my life right now. BTW - I went and had a listen to your music and really love your flavor! Hit me up if you want to collab. Much love, my friend. β€οΈ

Hello, I have a question. Iβm an artist with several releases already available on Spotify, and Iβd like to upload the same tracks to my SoundCloud account. However, when Iβve tried uploading a few of them, they were taken down. Could you please advise on the correct process for uploading tracks that are already released on Spotify to SoundCloud, and how to avoid takedowns?

Music publishers really need fo link with bmi and the like so its much easier to keep track and log new royalties
@Dan-Tyler-MusicGg
@Renz2-7And I use fl studio
@chillguygd_345I got good at music at the age of 9
@chillguygd_345Do not EVER pay to get on a playlist. BAD advice. They all are scams and can get you taken off streaming platforms.
We use CDbaby and ASCAP. And the MLC. I would like to figure out how to make money off of YouTube but it seems very convoluted. I havenβt seen a need for the publishing part. With ASCAP you register for publishing.
And you report to your artist PRO when you or someone else PERFORMS your song.
Where should I go what's the best one to use
