I Spent $1000 on Old Pokémon Games, It Was BAD

Just so people know: if you get china Fire Red, it looks really close to the legit, but due to the differences in the way the cartridge has the data, a nintendo DS won’t recognize it as fire red if you are trying for example to send pokemons from fire red to soulsilver

So I bet these fake gbc cartridges might give you trouble to connect to nintendo 64

I had red, blue and yellow and wish I still had those.

The gen 1 aliexpress games are actually better than the og carts. For one reason. Saves. Normal carts use batteries but they last 25-30 years. Aliexpress games use FROM so they last 50+ years. As long as your on a gbc and above

Your Silver Edition packaging is fake, bro. At least the inner tray suggests the packaging wasn’t original. The inner tray should have a cutout in the center — not on the edge like yours. It was definitely replaced.

I remember when I was 9 I bought a fake copy of Pokemon Emerald at a kiosk selling gadgets and cheap accessories for a cheaper price. At first it works okay just like my original copy of Pokemon Sapphire (BTW my old Pokemon Sapphire cartridge was missing) until it stucked at the Gameboy logo and I noticed that the Nintendo logo was broken. The game description at the box was full of typos. I threw it away because it was unfixable. Lesson learned please don't buy cheap fake Pokemon cartridges watch this video first before buying any GBA/GBC Pokemon game. Unfortunately the original ones are way too expensive since the pandemic.

With gen 3 they always have an indented number and letter if there’s no indented number and letter then it’s fake.

If youre paying kess than $60 for a gen 1 or 2 pokemon its a bootleg.

The missingno in Gen one were 39 Pokemon pulled saved for later the water starter was found drawn with tortouga Ryhdon and Eggs were a removed item and the water starter was a pre evolution of Lapras nothing proved obviously and gen one more dinosaur and prehistoric style. Lizard raptor like turtle and the name Bulbasaur. Gen 2 same Meganium dinosaur Feraligatr reptile and they went mammal for Cyndaquil then gen 3 amphibian newt/Axlatl for mudkip an extinct dodo for torchic and treeco a gecko gen 4 went off the rails breaking tradition

Every real gameboy game has a stamp above the nintendo certification. If you look at the cart from a shallow angle you can see the stamp because it's actually indented into the stamp itself.

It's a dead giveaway the cart is real or not.

Honestly the old games from gb/gbcolor can’t be traded to gba versions and those can only get to the Ds systems from the ds/salute and then they are stuck because you can’t take them to switch because they shut down the service.
So honestly if it works there is no reason of other then nostalgia to buy authentic…

Me and my bf actually bought those 3rd party gen 3 games and they work perfect! It's really nice. I'm not a collector so it doesnt matter if theyre legit or not, just if they work.
I also got a translated version of green from a shop that tests everything beforehand, so everything 3rd party I get there is great

Pokemon Silver was my first pokemon game too. I went through many auctions on Ebay until I got it together with Gold for 400 bucks, both cib. Back in 2019 I was offered a copy in a not so well state for only 30 or so, I regret not having bought more games before

He gave me 500€ (what a feeling like 10yr with 500€ in my pocket!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I remember we go to the mall, I went into a shop we had here like game dedicated, i grabbed a PS2, bought primal, a extra memory card, bought pokemon silver, ruby and saphire, blew ALL MY MONEY on that store, but the feeling, I will never forget 1000yrs I may live, the feeling of just, I'ma about to get me a playstation and buy pokemon ruby and saphire just to have groundon and keyogre, silver to have lugia. Amazing nostalgia from just watching you open that pack and pull Lugia <3
