The IRGC did NOT attack this ship in the Strait of Hormuz's channels. It attacked it in the territorial waters of Oman. The ship, Ever Lovely, was one of four ships following the route identified by the IMO and hugging the Omani coast. Ever Lovely, which left a port in Iraq, was sailing the fastest and leading the group. There was no radio warning from the IRGC's navy directing the ships to turn back. The reason the IRGC did this is because it's losing the "battle" for control of the Strait of Hormuz since a lot of ships are using the Omani (deep) water channel. As of today, and indicated on the Marine Traffic site, Ever Lovely is well on its way in the Arabian Sea headed for Singapore.
