Such a beautiful bike, but truth be told, we haven’t really seen much from it yet. The name alone seemed to put off a lot of people. And not to mention MVDP at Paris-Roubaix.I bet if he won it would have been a different story…
But that still doesn’t make it a bad bike.
Somebody please put this bike through a proper test. We’d genuinely love to see a real comparison between it and the actual Aeroad CFR.

For example, what’s actually the difference between the Ultimate CF 7 and the Ultimate CF 7 A.50?
And if you think one comes with 50 mm wheels while the other doesn’t, you’re wrong, because both come with the same wheels, at least in Europe.

@falconreconeightWoaa time out please!! Ok so I will admit I don’t keep up with all the latest goings of the cycling world but when did a cassette not need a lockring torqued to 40nm . I’ve watched the video twice and this is amazing! It’s it wheel specific or rather hub specific?

@raybraydh2956I've used grease and carbon paste for the seat post and I think Paul did a very good job with this explanation. What you want to accomplish is two things: 1) allow the clamp to create a very even, well distributed clamping force by allowing the clamping jaws to slide properly ; 2) Create friction only at the point where you need it, so as it to prevent the up-down sliding of the post. Many people do not understand this and don't know which paste (or any) to use. Grease also plays a role in corrosion prevention which is important for metal bikes. It is always a good idea to remove the post at the end of the season or after a lot of rainy riding.
Only thing I'd add is learn to replace the wheel without inverting the bike. Inverting the bike like this can damage the saddle fabric when it is on the road, as well as scratch the hoods or even the computer. Inversions can also cause an air bubble in the brake line to move up in the system (though there shouldn't be any to begin with).
Don't be shy with the carbon paste inside the seat tube - after assembling a few Canyon bikes I came to realise that if you don't put enough of it, your seat post will soon start creaking...

@kehrinI love the frame, but I just can't understand why Canyon doesn't offer it with a Campagnolo groupset or at least as a frame-only option. I'm really disappointed.
