Sam Shepherd: Fool for Love. Honestly, the film with Sam, Kim Basinger, and Harry Dean Stanton, was as good. Line by line, because of course, Sam was right there. ( There is a film of the play, True West, with Gary Sinise John Milkovach. But no film of. We are so ripe for one.)
Other one comes to mind is of course StreetCar. Having read all of Tennessee Williams plays, and so many made into films, this is one does justice to the screenplay. Tennessee opening in screenplay ( which of course I have read) describes this seething carnality implied sexuality--I don't remember the ( rather poetic) phrasing, but it is as if he were describing the young Brando, instead of the other way around.
If more plays were adapted for screen, I would not question: "why am I subscribing to this shit (Netflix etc)? I never watch these films all the way through!"

I like this podcast, however try to chill out on the “robotic” and over exaggerated responses.
The two hosts just can’t help but have automated replies. The “ooohs, the “ahhhs”, the “wows”the “yeahs”. “Oh this is the part where I laugh now”
Genuine authenticity, less performative will make me tune in a lot more. I mean, I appreciate how positive and nice you guys are to the guests, it’s just the over doing it is killin me right now.
Like, don’t be scared of 2 seconds dead air. It’s human, conversational. Ok that’s all out of me.

I hope people listen to this that have a certain notion of who she is. She is very interesting and I walked away from this interview liking her.

I love Olivia Wilde and her work and I find it very inspiring to hear about her trajectory. I like these conversations here too and the stances everyone takes. The only thing that I critisise is that they talk about their children so much. I think that parents should keep them away from publicity. It is their privacy too. I know you are proud and have fun and enjoy your kids, but it is really weird to hear you compare the relationship with your children to your partners. It is just my two cents, I know I would not have liked my mom to talk about her fun and how much she enjoyed me and tell the world about me being affectionate with her when I was a teen. your kids tell you they love you, it is for you only, youre not to boost it into the world.
