Oppenheimer - Can You Hear The Music (Piano Version)
Piano Version by Patrik Pietschmann
78 years after the creation of the atomic bomb, its music was made
Many of you asked for it, now you get it! "Can You Hear The Music" is the most interesting track from the new Oppenheimer soundtrack by Ludwig Göransson and could also be seen as the Main Theme. While this musical piece is very short and consists of a constantly repeating run (right hand in this case), the biggest challenge is the total of 21 tempo changes, which is why I practiced and recorded the arrangement with a click track. Since the right hand is already reserved for the run, which is played by the violins in the original, the left hand is responsible for melody, accompaniment patterns and bass notes at the same time. My goal was to write a playable piano arrangement that would still remain true to the musical character of the original. To do this, I had to adjust a few tempos, though I maintain the basic rules by which the tempo changes in the original. The upward moving first half of the run is in a ratio of 1.0:1.3 to the downward moving second half, which means that the second half is always 1.3 times faster than the first half. In addition, the overall tempo increases by 10 bpm after each completed run in the original. I adjusted it so that it only increases by 5 bpm at some points in the middle of the piece, so as not to end up in an unplayable tempo at the end. I hope you like it!
Any suggestions for future arrangements? Please leave them in the comments.
For me Patrick is the best pianist on YouTube just because he feels, hears and then delivers to us not only the overall vibe of composition, but also all these nuances and details in harmony, melody, tempo, dynamic and the bunch of other stuff that music includes. He just does it so well and also makes it sound like solid, complete and all-sufficient

I get to 1:13 with just my right hand and then I cannot continue. I literally cannot move that fast. Wow.
@jennifers6560Jesus Christ in heaven.
@crystalfunkyI dont think they realize how hard it is to play this piece. Music isnt hard bc its fast, music is hard because of the notes, arpeggios and scales. This guy did a masterpiece right here, as someone who plays piano, you sir are an amazing talent.

@Rudeus30-w6dI love how, when the two bass notes are played, it marks a new stage in the melody.

@Rudeus45-v4lAlso gotta say that I enjoy your videos not audibly only, but also visually. As I absolutely love theory of music and harmony, when I not only hear it, but also see it thanks to your program, it helps me to understand the theoretical side of your pieces and enjoy it even more through understanding its basics, structure
@Rudeus20-f3bThe right hand notes make THE GOLDEN RATIO
@Rudeus60-i1pAs much as I think the original compositions are absolute masterpieces in every way. Pls never stop making these arrangements. You’re one of the only musicians I know whi can translate the feeling if the original pieces to piano, and still give your own unique twist on each
