I was so happy for the longest time. But that chanced for the worse at I started high school. It was one of the hardest times for me. On a cold morning in the late fall I drug myself out of bed to go to school. This was the lowest point I had been in a while. No willingness to do anything. I felt as if nothing would change, and that I would feel like this forever. But as I sat in the passenger seat of my dad’s car as he drove me to school this song came on. I caught glimpses of the melody and something stuck with me. My dad in the driver seat hyping me up saying “Sing it Stevie!” Although I could hardly keep an eye open, I typed this song into my Spotify to save for later. I leave the car and go through the motions, until I’m able to get some time to listen to music. I sit in the chair and look at my playlist and remember the song from the morning. I press play and immediately fell a weight lift from my shoulders. I’m sitting in my class holding back tears of joy from this song. And ever since that faith-full day when I Just Called to Say I Love You played on the radio there hasn’t been a day as bad as those. And there never will be as long as I have Stevie on my mind and this song in my heart.
