4:10 But what about albums? Is it bad to release an album at once when you are a beginning artist?

I keep seeing people reference using multiple accounts to post with. Do you recommend having these accounts branded similarly to the main account? So BandName, and BandName BTS, or something else? Thank you!

Sometimes the song you think is going to pop off does nothing, and sometimes one of your least favorite songs ends up doing the best. Just get them all out there.

0:00 Why a roadmap?
So thankful for you Andrew
1:04 Release Strategy
4:30 Social Media Strategy
i release music every 2 months. for example i release a song in January and then i will run a ad for the entire month in February and then i will release a song in march and promote it in april and so on. i also have hundreds of songs that ive made years ago and they arent even out yet and i can write and record like 5 songs a day.
10:45 Use Meta ads for releases
14:21 Promote your own playlists
You mention that different social media platforms have different nuances that you should take account of. What do you mean by this please, and did you talk about that in more detail in another one of your videos? I've only just discovered and subscribed to your channel, so I'm still working through your backlog. :)
17:35 Play shows
23:23 Niche strategies
Thoughts on focusing on ads towards IG followers if the budget is less than $800??
I found 800+ is the minimum for converting campaigns every time I tried a converting campaign with 100-200 bucks it just flop lmao

Okay I have a question. For someone with a limited budget, what do you think of releasing promoted (meta ads) tracks every two months, and non promoted (besides organic) between?
For example if I can afford 500euros every two months, what do you think of releasing tracks in the months between?

love your podcast. I'm using it as my marketing roadmap. Here's our first demo...I think it's awesome, but the production needs a lot of improvement. "The Fourth Turning.' https://youtu.be/FxH7yHcTo3Y?si=vV9YE7WDxSMGKQcn

By July this year, we'll have existed for 5 years and will have a total of 15 original song releases (2 EPs, singles, etc.). Throughout this time, we have had 5 separate instances of disappearing for 3-6 months

When starting out what is a realistic $$$ considering one isn't making any money for a while...
Some of the links in this description are affiliate links I may receive a kickback from! This helps support the channel and pays for these videos. I only recommend products I would happily share with my friends and family.
So what's your solution for when someone clicks Spotify on the landing page wile in Facebook or Instagram and a pop-up appears warning people that they're going to leave the app they're on, because most people freak out ( since they don't understand anything) and go back, and still, meta pixel counts that as a click, but I don't get a view. This is a huge problem because it happens almost every single time. I spend money on ads I'm told works and I get no views. You got a solution for that?
More User Perspectives
13:49 id like to add that, sometimes a high-CPR campaign can be worth it depending on engagement. Ive had some songs start off around $0.50 - $0.60 per result but saw the number of comments and direct messages increase much faster than other campaigns. In those cases, i may focus on a messaging campaign to keep high level engagement and interact with ppl directly instead. Hilariously, this is how a lot of my most dedicated supporters found my music :]
@sutitootimusicYou need a much, MUCH more hardcore intro
@marvomusicI guess Andrew doesn't know how exited people are that they're bringing back the old Bring Me The Horizon ๐๐๐
@mauritsgresnigt2801Your videos really helped me a lot! Thank you ๐๐ฝ
@JamesAllenrapsGold as always Andrew thank you. Except for having links to your link tree or website in your different bios what type of CTA works best in organic videos (not ads)?
@bjornarkI'm watching independent artists which post massive very good videos on social media, but this is not increasing their number of streams on Spotify. Maybe they get money from TikTok music plays, but not a single new follower or stream on Spotify. And their music is good and the videos are good.
@BlazingFunkCan we request "How I would invest ยฃ10K to establish an artist?"
@julia-y7k2oOMG! Thank you for acknowledging the 2M listeners and not selling out 300 cap venue (London's OSLO?)
I think we were referencing exactly the same artist ๐๐
Thank you โค
@ilesanmidavidThank you for this new video Andrew! What is your experience with using Hyperlinks in the meta ads for playlists? They make the selected track autoplay, but I know it only works for people using the mobile app (and in some cases only for paid users).
@LineInSpatialRecordsAlways appreciate your videos. Had a reality check when I realised ยฃ10K in discovery ads is likely to bring 20K streams (30 using your examples)... what a waste of $$$; would you use nowadays ads only for retargetting and boosting organically well-performing content (as opposed to discover ads)? also, would you say the playlist idea is better than a funnel discovery ad (to run in the background all year long)?
@patrykmiguel1488always gold
@The_Orphaned_BeeGreat advice ๐
@LowkeySuccessOfficialI suggest artist do pr as well talk media outlet
@Atentoamusicamedianews1What do you recommend for campaigns that have a low cost per click but also a low conversion rate, where say only 30% or less actually click through to Spotify?
